Our Story
Founded in 2020, Munagi Handmade Crochet began with a simple yet powerful vision: to transform the lives of African women through the art of crochet. Our founder, Sarah Munagi, witnessed firsthand the untapped potential of talented women in her community who lacked economic opportunities.
What started as informal training sessions with five women has grown into a thriving social enterprise, empowering over 100 women across multiple communities. We combine traditional African craftsmanship with contemporary design, creating beautiful, sustainable products while providing fair wages and dignified work.
